What are credits?
Credits are usage units for AI-powered actions. Credit costs vary by plan, and live in-app plan values control actual usage. The calculator below helps estimate how far a plan can go before purchasing.
The foundation
Credits in plain English
Credits are usage units that may be consumed by AI-powered or premium actions, depending on your active plan.
Actions may include Mock Bar questions, case digests, AI chat messages, PDF exports, accuracy verification, legal search, flashcard flips, and other enabled tools. Not every read-only or organizational action necessarily consumes credits. Live app values control actual deduction for your active plan.
Important distinction
Access, credits, and quotas are different
Access
Which tools a plan can open.
Credits
The plan’s available usage capacity.
Quotas or rate limits
How frequently some actions may be used in a time window.
“Full access” or “unlimited access” describes feature availability. It does not remove credit balances or create infinite AI generation.Learn more
Four useful formulas
How the math works
These formulas turn the live credit pool and action costs into practical estimates.
credits used = number of actions × credit cost per actionremaining credits = included credits − credits usedmaximum full actions = floor(included credits ÷ credit cost per action)weeks of runway = total credits ÷ estimated weekly credit useLive plan examples

Where balances come from
One-time, monthly, bonus, and carryover credits
One-time packages
Credits are granted once and depleted as used, subject to the app’s applicable terms and account rules.
Monthly subscriptions
Credits or usage allocations may reset by billing cycle according to the active plan configuration.
Bonus credits
Where applicable, separately granted credits may come from a referral, promotion, or admin support.
Carryover credits
Preserved unused credits may appear separately where applicable and according to the active plan and applicable terms.
Verify your live balance in Profile. The balance shown there and the applicable terms govern your account’s available credits.
Neutral planning guide
Which plan should I choose?
Start with the work you expect to do, then compare that workload with the selected plan’s live credit pool.
Lower-credit package
For occasional case digests, searches, or limited practice.
Mid-credit package
For a regular law-student workflow across several tools.
Higher-credit package
For sustained Mock Bar practice and repeated AI workflows.
